Hundreds of millions of doses of vaccines are being secured in 2020. Novovax will be prepared with 100 million doses as well as Pfizer’s vaccine with the same amount. Moderna will also have 100 million doses, and Astrazeneca will lead the pack with 300 million doses, according to the US Department of Health and Human Services.

The CDC has informed all 50 states to be prepared to start distributing the vaccine just days before the 2020 presidential election, a move coming under fire from some media organizations as a politically-motivated approach by the current administration to try to recruit last-minute voters with a vaccine.
